Bridging the Gap - Appeal for Funding

We are now able to announce our first appeal for funding and other practical support for the Bridging the Gap project! We require a relatively small sum, a few thousands of pounds, to enable us to move forward with design feasibility work. Specifically this is to cover an engineering assessment of Bridge 331, prior to its re-furbishment, plus aerial, geotechnical and topographical surveys of the gap site, and the production of preliminary drawings of the combination of embankments, viaducts and/or bridges that will be required to bridge the gap. These drawings will be the first tangible evidence that the gap can be bridged, and how this will be achieved. They will be vital to enable credible cost estimates to be developed, and to persuade potential funders that the project is physically viable
